Twenty years ago on this day, my good friend Rob and I sat outside with his shortwave radio, and listened to the fall of the Berlin Wall.

    I was in the mountains of Southern Oregon living in a little cabin with no power, but my nearby neighbour (her cabin had solar) was a Berliner so i was not to far out of the loop. I lie this fern portrait by the way :)

    Put me down for another one who likes the fern. I’ve been trying for years to get a picture of a fern that I am happy with – perhaps I should try less hard (a propos your post above about not letting too much thought get between seeing and clicking the shutter).
